Hamilton was never going to re sign with the Canes not when their best offer was 8 years for 50 million around 6.25 a year, el cheapo Tom Dundon should have known that once Seth Jones signed that deal with Chicago 6.25 wasn’t going to cut it.
Are the Canes better today? I don’t think so Andersen and Raanta are good goalies, but will they stay healthy? Andersen missed most of the year and has admitted that he doesn’t like to play unless he feels 100% and Raanta missed most of the last 2 seasons with injuries so it’s risky for the Canes.
But give credit that Ethan Bear trade was great can’t crap on them over that one.
Let’s see what happens from here on out, but Carolina keeping that Poverty franchise nickname title hands down.
